Spring is finally here, and it’s time to get your car ready for the season. After a long winter, your vehicle may need some TLC to ensure it’s running smoothly and safely. Here are some tips for preparing your car for spring, brought to you by Precision Auto Repair, the friendliest local auto repair shop serving the STMA area!
  1. Check Your Tires.
Winter driving can be tough on your tires. The cold temperatures and snow and ice can cause your tires to lose air pressure, which can lead to uneven wear and poor performance. Before hitting the road this spring, check your tire pressure, and make sure your tires are properly inflated. You should also inspect your tires for any signs of wear, such as cracks, bulges, or punctures. If you notice any issues, bring your car to Precision Auto Repair for a professional inspection and replacement.
  2. Change Your Oil.
egular oil changes are essential for keeping your car running smoothly and extending its lifespan. If you haven’t had an oil change recently, now is the time to do it. Over time, old oil can become contaminated with dirt and debris, which can cause damage to your engine. Spring is also a good time to check your oil level and top it off if necessary. At Precision Auto Repair, we offer fast, reliable oil changes to keep your car running smoothly.
  3. Replace Your Wiper Blades.
Winter weather can be tough on your wiper blades, causing them to crack or become worn out. Before the spring rain starts, replace your wiper blades with new ones. It’s a simple and inexpensive fix that can make a big difference in your visibility on the road. At Precision Auto Repair, we can help you find the right wiper blades for your car and install them for you.
  4. Check Your Brakes.
Your brakes are one of the most important safety features on your car. If you notice any squeaking or grinding when you apply your brakes, it’s time to bring your car to Precision Auto Repair for a brake inspection. We can check your brake pads, rotors, and calipers to ensure they’re in good working condition. Don’t take chances with your safety – let us make sure your brakes are ready for spring.
  5. Check Your Battery.
Cold temperatures can take a toll on your car’s battery, causing it to lose its charge more quickly. Before the warm weather hits, have your battery tested to make sure it’s in good condition. If your battery is more than three years old, it may be time for a replacement. At Precision Auto Repair, we can help you find the right battery for your car and install it for you.
  6. Wash and Wax Your Car.
Winter weather can leave your car looking dull and dirty. Give it a fresh start this spring by washing and waxing it. A good wash and wax can protect your car’s paint from damage and make it look like new again. At Precision Auto Repair, we offer professional detailing services to keep your car looking its best.
Preparing your car for spring is essential for keeping it running smoothly and safely. By following these simple tips, you can ensure your vehicle is ready for the warmer weather ahead. And if you need any help, don’t hesitate to bring your car to Precision Auto Repair. We’re here to help you get the most out of your car!
