Regular car maintenance is important to ensure your vehicle is running smoothly and prevent any potential issues down the road. Here are some general guidelines for when to take your car in for service:
  1. Oil Change: Most cars need an oil change every 5,000 to 7,500 miles or every six months, whichever comes first. Check your owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommended oil change interval.
  2. Tire Rotation: It's recommended to have your tires rotated every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, or as recommended by the manufacturer.
  3. Brakes: You should have your brakes inspected every 10,000 to 15,000 miles, or if you hear any unusual noises or feel vibrations when braking.
  4. Coolant: The coolant level and condition should be checked at least once a year, especially before the summer months.
  5. Battery: Your battery should be checked every 3 to 5 years, or as recommended by the manufacturer.
  6. Transmission: The transmission fluid should be checked every 30,000 to 50,000 miles, or as recommended by the manufacturer.
  7. Belts and Hoses: Check your belts and hoses for any signs of wear or damage every 30,000 miles, or as recommended by the manufacturer.
Of course, these are just general guidelines, and you should always refer to your car's owner's manual for specific maintenance intervals and recommendations. Additionally, if you notice any issues with your car, such as strange noises, poor performance, or warning lights, you should take it in for service as soon as possible.
